Cuando finalicé mis estudios secundarios en Diciembre de 1979, en la escuela Carlos N. Vergara de la cuidad de La Plata Argentina, posiblemente nadie de mi familia, a excepción de mi madre (docente por aquella época) esperaba mi decisión de seguir la carrera de Educación Física, tal vez, porque por aquellos tiempos la imagen de un profesional de la Actividad Física, primeramente no se asociaba al ámbito universitario, aunque en esos años ya era considerada una carrera universitaria y en segundo lugar no era una profesión que gozara de mucho valor y prestigio ante los ojos de la sociedad…

Fernando Naclerio, PhD. Sport Science and Physical Activity. University of Leon Spain (2006)
Awarded as Best Researcher of Sport Sciences by the European University of Madrid 2008-2009.
After working for 8 years, as a principal lecturer, at the European University of Madrid, Dr. Naclerio joined the University of Greenwich in July 2011 where is currently Principal Lecturer in Strength Training and Sport Nutrition. Furthermore, Dr. Naclerio is Programme Leader of MSc Strength and Conditioning at Life and Sports Science Department at the University of Greenwich.
Dr. Fernando Naclerio’s current researches
• Effects of protein administration on body composition, strength, muscle structure, immunological and haematological markers in athletes.
• Nutritional strategies for improving recovery process in athletes.
• The use of the perceived exertion for controlling resistance training
• Impact of manipulating volume on resistance training outcomes
• Injury prevention in athletes
